When I ruptured my Achilles tendon playing tennis, Jit Mangwani was excellent in every respect. Not only did he fix my tendon well so that I am now back to playing sport, but he was also incredibly attentive and was a genuinely nice person to chat to in clinic when we came for follow up appointments. He made sure the physiotherapists and nurses had a joined up approach for my post-operative recovery so the rehabilitation was as smooth as it could be. I could not have asked for a better team to look after me when I was in trouble after my sports injury and I would highly recommend Jit if you have a problem related to foot and ankle orthopaedic surgery.

First time I have ever had any education on foot and ankle since started med school in 1976 either pre or post graduate, I picked up a lot when I worked in sports medicine with the father of sports medicine Ian Adams but I learnt loads on wed , pitched the talk just right.

I had been bothered by my bunions since I was about 12 years old and I have to admit that the horror stories people had told me about this procedure did put me off for quite some time. All I can say to anyone else thinking about getting this done, my experience was nothing like the stories I’d heard. I have been pleasantly surprised at every stage of my recovery. I was lucky enough to have found an amazing surgeon in Mr Mangwani. Without this level of expertise and support my story may have been very different. I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to Mr Mangwani and his team, I wish I had done this sooner!
